AASHTOWare Safety Segment Analytics

AASHTOWare Safety Segment Analytics is a cloud-based SaaS platform that connects to external databases to receive crash, vehicle and occupant data, roadway data, asset data, as well as any other data supplied by the licensing agency, to power a number of purpose-built applications. Agencies can customize various configurations (countermeasure logic, Crash Modification Factor (CMF) values, and various calculations) to meet their unique needs. AASHTOWare’s Safety Segment Analytics provides analysis based on data for roadway segments.

Crash Query

Create custom queries to search for crashes in a GIS interface with search variables including crash type, vehicle, occupant, roadway, or geographic criteria. Explore crash details with recommended countermeasures and easily generate shareable PDF Crash Reports.

Safety Analysis

Conduct segment-specific analysis to find information about crash locations and countermeasures. Perform benefit-cost calculations quickly with built-in service life and CMF values and a generate shareable PDF Safety Reports

Network Screening

Utilize Segment and Sliding Window screening methods, with various Historical, Predictive, and Expected performance measures following HSM best-practices. Apply custom filters for screening and generate shareable Network Screening reports.

Predictive Analysis

Perform Predictive Analysis to analyze predicted and expected roadway performance. Leverage existing Safety Performance Functions (SPFs) or create new ones to run screenings and gain insights into the performance of SPFs themselves.

Promote Collaboration

Collaboration is a key driver of better results, and the purpose-built application is built with collaboration in mind. The application enables users to add editors or viewers to projects and easily share data within and outside the application.

Streamline Reporting

Utilize enhanced reporting capabilities to improve the understanding of crash data and implement scalable processes. The built-in reporting features ensure efficient and streamlined reporting.
